Happy New Year 2008

Maybe you'll celebrate New Years like in Brazil with fireworks and music shows. Or in Denmark with a nice 3 course meal ending with a Marzipan ring cake. Possibly feast on foie gras and champagne like you were in France? Then you may eat twelve grapes, one with each chime of the midnight clock as if you were in Spain. Then again you can just wait for the firing of the cannon at Edinburgh Castle as in Scotland.

Or most likely you'll watch Dick Clark drop his balls, get drunk on some cheap champagne and beer and pass out until Noon tomorrow.

Bad time to mess with Tigers

By now everyone has heard about the Tiger mauling '07 at the SF Zoo.

This is just the tip of the screw you people for keeping me in a cage iceberg.

There was another attack just earlier this month at the Shambala Preserve owned and run by Tippi Hedren. This guy was mauled but lucky to live.

In 2005 this poor girl was just posing for a photo by a tiger at a Kansas sanctuary.

And there were 12 other attacks, yes 12, just in the last 4 1/2 years.

Time to rethink this idea. They are endangered. Probably because we keep shooting them when people act dumb around them or hold them against their will.
